Members Information Sessions
On August 23rd 2016, the Management Committee will ask members of the DSC to vote to Change the structure of membership at the Darwin Sailing Club.
To inform members of the specific details of this proposed change, the Club will present a draft membership model for consideration over coming weeks. This draft model will be explained in 3 x 30minute information sessions hosted in the Club’s Committee Room (formerly the Gaming Lounge) on the following dates:
Session 2: 6.30pm – 7pm: Thursday July 7th
Session 3: 6.30pm – 7pm: Thursday July 14th
The same presentation will be repeated at each of these sessions. For those unable to attend one of these sessions, this information will also be made available on the Club’s website after July 1st. These sessions will provide detailed Information related to the following topics:
WHY CHANGE? – The case for changing the structure of DSC membership.
WHAT WILL CHANGE? – Detail and rationale about each of the specific changes proposed.
WHEN WILL IT CHANGE? – Timing related to these proposed changes.
Members are invited to submit written comments and feedback based on the information presented to the Club Secretary ([email protected]) by no later than 5pm – Monday July 18th.
Written feedback will be considered by the Management Committee at the next MC meeting on Tuesday July 19th. Member’s feedback will inform the finalisation of the draft model before, in line with the Club’s Constitution, a finalised proposal is communicated as a motion for vote at the upcoming QGM on Tuesday August 23rd.
