Course details

Green Fleet is the next step from Tackers 3. Sailing in your own boat or a Club training boat, an Instructor will help you practice your skills in a controlled and fun environment. The basic concepts of racing are introduced, including racing rules and starting techniques.

Green Fleet runs on Sunday mornings, (except long-weekends) during Term 2 and Term 3 and you enrol for a full term block. You can do as many blocks as you like, so progress is at a pace which enables you to build time on the water and which encourages kids to keep practicing and developing their skills, most trainees will spend 12-18 months in the Green Fleet before they move into Club racing. This builds confidence and knowledge so that their initial racing experience in a Club event is not too daunting.
