Back to the Boats “The Love Boat”
What a great trip we had last Saturday evening. “The Love Boat” took off from the Darwin Sailing Club at 1800hr. Past Commodore Peter Bracken and wife Robin, nearly missed the ship, apparently there was a passport issue. Luckily they had their boarding passes.
Passengers boarded via the red carpet to be met with drinks and canapes. Commodore Peter Lockett welcomed the travellers aboard and apologised Captain Merrill Stubing was unable to join the ship.
Dancing and laughter was the order of the night and there was plenty of both with DJ Timmy providing music to suit all tastes present.
The Water Front Bistro maintained their very high standard of buffet with a variety of dishes provided, they were enjoyed by all the guests.
The Social Committee would like to give a very big thank you to the following; Winsome Jobling for her assistance with the advertising display. The Darwin Sailing Club staff, Peter Lay and staff at the Water Front Bistro; for their assistance with the planning and support on the evening.
The committee would also like to thank their partners and family whose assistance /support was greatly appreciated.
