News from the Darwin Sailing Club
Sail, socalise and dine in the heart of Darwin
At the start of what will be the busiest sailing season in recent years, if not ever, the requirement for volunteers has never been more critical.
The pre-season Working Bee is on Saturday 7th April. A good effort by as many people as can attend will set the Club up for a great season.
The following weekend is expected to be huge - with the Discover Sailing Day on Saturday 14th followed by the first races of the season - Harbour and Point Score Series on Sunday 15th
We urgently need people to commit to each of these important tasks. Please contact the club office P: 8981 1700 or email [email protected]
Ongoing training in mark laying, flags and results recording is available, as is an option to undertake Club/State/National Race Officer training throughout 2018 as we head toward the busy regatta months of June and July, as well as the Arafura Games as well as the Minnow and Match Racing regattas next year.
For those able to commit to a regular role, it's a great place to begin, as well as a lot of fun!
Without this commitment of volunteers much of the Club would not be able to function and on water requires up to eighteen volunteers for some race days.
