A beautiful Darwin wet season evening set the scene for the naming ceremony and MC Jonathon Talbot ensued the program proceeded almost perfectly according to schedule. Management Committee members Eury Jane Butler, Steve Schortz, Lisa Denvir and Dereck Cooper then named the boats, Kelat, Mauna Loa, Neptuna and Zealanda, respectively.
The Darwin Sailing Club Elliott 7s will allow the club to lift our adult learn to sail programs to a much higher standard, providing better student : instructor ratios and better competence of graduates.
Having this matched fleet of Elliotts provides the opportunity for quality match racing and adds a new and exciting competition format to our sailing program. Match Racing activities this year include:
