Sail, socalise and dine in the heart of Darwin
Thirteen boats contested the 2017 Fannie Bay Bucket, with around 75 people enjoying the event on water over the two days.
The Bucket is a unique event in the DSC calendar, where competition in the land based competitions ranks equally with the on water racing. This year, proficiency in limited visibility navigation around a beach course and spinnaker packing and hoisting on the club flag pole were valued skills.
Last year's Bucket winner, Alan James Kita made the presentation to the successful team team on Kelat skippered by Toby Wharton (Saturday) and Tom Winter (Sunday).
Second was Mauna Loa (Phil Brownscombe), while third was X-Factor (Steve Schortz).
Each participant had a great weekend of on-water and off-water fun and many started plotting their entry for next year's Fannie Bay Bucket at the celebrations on Sunday evening.
The Bucket is supported by DBCYA and Mount Gay.
