House Committee projects underway

News from the House Committee

Projects are happening around the Club.

Beach Floodlight Replacement

With the failed beach floodlights It was out with the old and in with the new converting to the latest energy efficient LED technology.

Paul from Pauls Electrical did a great job and at a generous discount in fitting the new lights and switches.

Contact House for Pauls details if you need a good sparky.

Race Tower Stairs

The Race Tower stairs seemed all ok unless you had a look at them closely from underneath.

An inspection revealed severe rusting and flaking of the supporting angle brackets which if left unchecked was an immediate risk to those of us still in “Christmas Condition”.

Daniel the Welder from DJS Structural Steel came to the rescue here removing all the old rusted brackets and steps and installing new ones.

The concrete steps had crumbled around the rusted plates so were also replaced.

Daniel lives out rural, enjoys welding jobs, hanging out with his wife & kids, good mates and Great Northern Schooners.

Thanks Daniel.
