Sail, socalise and dine in the heart of Darwin
DSC’s Keelboats are getting closer ! News from the McConaghy factory in China is that the hulls have been completed and assembled, the fittings installed and the keels and rudders will be finished next week. The boats are scheduled for loading into containers from the 6th of December, ready for delivery to Darwin in late January.
In the meantime orders are being placed for sails, outboard motors and trailers and the Sailing Manager is scheduling a range of exciting training and participation events in the 2017 Sailing Calendar. There are rumours of a dedicated Womans Keelboat Training program as well as member only 'come and try days'.
This week the NT Youth Match Racing Team have been having a great time at the prestigeous 'Harken International Youth Match Racing Championships' gaining valuable experience racing Elliot 7s, competing against some of the best exponents of Youth Match Racing in the world. They are going to have some great skills to share with the Club on their return.
