News from the Darwin Sailing Club
Sail, socalise and dine in the heart of Darwin
Calling all mums, dads, wives, husbands, shore-side partners, girlfriends, boyfriends of racing fanatics, social members and anyone else who has an interest in sail racing, but isn't fussed about competing. DSC needs you to assist in running the racing on Fannie Bay!
If you are tired of waiting around the clubhouse for loved ones to return from a day's racing on Fannie Bay, get out where the action is and watch the racing from the best seat in the house. Mary Woodrow, the Darwin Sailing Club's Race Committee vessel is actively seeking to expand the pool of volunteer Race Officials, team members and mark layers to assist with the on-water Race Management.
Ongoing training in mark laying, flags and results recording is available, as is an option to undertake Club/State/National Race Officer training throughout 2016 as we head to host new National and International events in 2017. A monthly commitment throughout the sailing season is sought; it's a great place to begin with up to eighteen volunteers required for some race days.
