News from the Darwin Sailing Club
Sail, socalise and dine in the heart of Darwin
Whilst many of the club's traditional races continue, there are several changes aimed at providing a greater range of events and sailing opportunities. A larger than normal number of adverse tides in 2017 have also been a consideration in forming this years calendar.
Harbour Series and Point Score Series racing will both consist of one series for the season, with a small reduction in overall numbers of races. Duty crews will also receive average points for races conducted while they are volunteering for the club. They will not be forced to use their discards, while completing race management and safety duties.
All Harbour & Point Score Series races will be held in the afternoons with the target time the first division to start set at 1400hrs.
With the introduction of the club keel boats, there will be several avenues for members to use these exciting craft including.
