The Darwin Sailing Club’s sailing program continues to operate with the enthusiasm and commitment of volunteers. The ability to continue to deliver a first class and diverse sailing program depends very much on the assistance and support of these volunteers.
If you are in-between boats or just looking for an excuse to get onto the water, spend a free day, afternoon or evening on Fannie Bay, in good company, while performing a highly valued Club service. Our sailing office would love to hear from you. Volunteers are always needed and always welcome to assist with the successful implementation of the Club’s varied on water programs.
Any level of experience is welcomed, whether a beginner or a World Sailing International Race Officer; a willingness to be part of a team and provide superb on-water management of races is all that is required.
DSC has volunteer introduction program, including short introductory training and mentoring.
Various roles are required during our season:
* Race Officer * Signals Operator * Mark-layer skipper & Crew * Safety Boat Skipper & Crew * On-Shore Assistants
